Whether you’re recording your first song or coming back to work on another project, the goal is to keep the session moving and help you leave with a strong rough copy of what you recorded.
adotstate is a vocal recording studio in Milwaukee focused on rap, hip-hop, and related music.
We help artists capture clean, professional vocal recordings in a room tuned for vocals, with an engineer on hand to support your session.
Please note: ordinary booked studio time includes studio time and engineering assistance during your scheduled session. Mixing and mastering are not part of standard booked time and are not promised as part of your session. If you need additional services, ask the engineer during your visit.
When you book, you are purchasing studio time and engineering assistance for the scheduled session.
Bring Your Instrumental

You may:
- •Bring your own instrumental file
- •Provide a downloadable link to the beat
- •Use a WAV or MP3 when available
The beat should be accessible and ready before or during the session so recording time is not unnecessarily spent trying to locate files.
If you obtained the instrumental from YouTube or another producer / platform, you are responsible for having the appropriate rights / license for any commercial release.
Recording & Engineering During Your Session
What the Booked Time Includes
The booked time includes:
- •Studio time
- •Vocal recording
- •Engineering assistance
- •Basic vocal processing as appropriate
- •Level balancing
- •Effects where appropriate
- •A rough / reference copy of the recorded song
The engineer controls the technical recording process while you control how you use your booked time.
The session is designed primarily for vocal recording over an existing instrumental.
What You Leave With
Rough Mix / Reference Copy
The normal recording session is focused on creating a good rough / reference copy during the booked time.
A normal studio session does not automatically include:
- •Detailed full mixing
- •Full mastering
- •Extensive vocal editing
- •Unlimited revisions
- •Full song production
If additional work is needed, it may require more studio time or a separate service. The normal session result is not a completed commercial mix / master.
Song Delivery
How You Receive Your Recording
Your completed session file will be made available through your adotstate account / Vault using the existing song-delivery system. After your session, the song appears in your Vault, where you can stream and download it from your phone.

Booking ahead is recommended if you need a specific date or time.
When you know the day and time you want, reserve it in advance so it’s available when you arrive.

- •Any specific Auto-Tune / key information they already know
You do not need to know the musical key before arriving.
Auto-Tune
Pitch Correction
Auto-Tune / pitch correction is available for vocals when desired. Not every recording automatically uses Auto-Tune — it’s used when it fits the artist and the song.
